TNT’s highly anticipated update of the classic prime-time soap “Dallas” will ride onto the network in June, officials announced Thursday.
The show will launch June 13 at 9 p.m. with a two-hour premiere episode.
TNT has ordered 10 episodes for the first season.
The series focuses on the next generation of the Ewing family, headed by oil magnate J.R. Ewing.
Larry Hagman is back to play J.R., Linda Gray returns as Sue Ellen Ewing, and Patrick Duffy returns as Bobby Ewing.
New to the cast living around the famed Southfork ranch are Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo and Brenda Strong.
The show has been shot on location in Dallas.
The series is part of TNT’s summer programming strategy, which includes other new and returning series.
Among the returning shows are “Rizzoli & Isles” (June 5), “Franklin & Bash” (June 5), “Falling Skies” (June 17), “The Closer” (July 9) and “Leverage” (July 15).
